It's Not Fall, But......

I see all the beautiful fall tablescapes and I have been a little envious.  We don't have that much color here in east Tennessee yet, but the weather is cooling off and the candy corn is on the shelves.

I am willing to wait to put out my fall decorations for awhile, why rush the seasons?  I had to do something though, right?



My fiesta chargers came in handy!  Where did I get this yellow flatware?  Aaaah, TJ Maxx.  And if you hurry, I think you can still get the little candy corn dishes at the Dollar General for $2 each.  Can only find one here and there though, I had to hit 2 different stores to find just 4 and I would have liked to have found 8.

Let's light those candles Anika and see how the glow looks huh?

It's not Halloween and it's not really all that "Autumn-ish" where I live, but it's always time for candy corn!!

Now If I can just hide all this candy from my hubby, he really loves him some candy corn!

Our Pink Pajama Party

  

Call me GrOuChY cuz On this day I WAS!

I wish I had been in a better mood for our pink pajama day, but the truth is a was a BIG pain in the butt!!  Just Ask Anika, Well better not!

I Had promised my oldest Daughter Amy a little treat and when I couldn't find her a tablecloth or runner for her table we opted for Jammies!  Of course all three of us ended up with matching PJs.  So we decided to have a Pajama party on Facebook.  We invited Everyone!  3 others showed up! (Bunch of chickens)

We all live in Tennessee, but on opposite ends....Makes it kind of tough to have a real pajama party huh?  So Anika and I take Amy shopping with us via mobile phone.  We went to Belk and took pics of all the Pajamas and these are what we picked out!

We do this quite often....The three of us go shopping together by cel phone, quite comical......and the clerks think it's a lot of fun.

I still look awful grumpy for a mommy who has two cute girls and a beautiful baby grandbaby all dressed in pink just cuz I asked them to!

Stress, that's what it is......it's been just to darn stressfull!  I hope these pink Pajamas come with a magic wand or something!

Lighten Up!

Things have been so "heavy" around here as of late.  Seems like everything is so dramatic and eventful that I just needed to kick back and do a little "chillen".

Anika had a dentist appointment yesterday. After I picked her up from school,we hit a thrift store!  We were early!  Who knew the line in front of the school was going to be short, the traffic was good and the thrift store was right on the way.

You know you have seen these frogs before~but have you ever seen a PINK one?

Here I am soaking his mouth out with soap, he has seen many a steel wool pads!

A new pink chic vase and a milk glass plate.  Yes I have a set of theses milk glass plates, paid a tidy sum for them.......this one was $1! S-C-O-R-E

This was my next found treasure,  A vintage Home Interior Ladle!  Don't you love my great pictures?   Nice and blurry huh?

Well I had every intention of painting this pink, but.....how would I ever find it in my house? 

So I picked up the green sparay paint and now I think she is a beauty, but now the whole wall needs a re-do.

Sooooo

I will have to get back to you on that one lol

Yeah, it's the Marine we love here at our house.

Although they are no longer dating, they are still BFFs!!!

The Marines frown on young love, so they have decided to wait for Anika to get a little older.

So while Erik is being a Marine, Anika is being a student.

With them communicating only a few times once a week, it's tough! Nobody knows what the future holds, do they?

We love ya, Foo!

Woke her up one morning and look what she is sleeping in!

She says "Dang it mom, I earned it!"

Erik Agrees, it belongs to her, he even sent a text so if anyone questions her, she has proof!!

Yes, that day will be beautiful!

I can order a matching floral centerpiece from a local florist or we can come up with something very inexpensive together.

Take your next intimate affair and kick it up a notch!  Make you table something to remember!  Have your guest feel special, pampered even if you are serving the same old meatloaf and mac and cheese.......who says it's got to be boring?

Can you see their eyes when you serve dinner by with candles tonight?  What about sandwiches on china? Break the rules, have some fun!!  Life is too short not to enjoy.

Be it your table or mine, let's set it together and make somebody smile :)
