Thanks for stopping by!!

I have found so much inspiration that I have started sharing my own addiction of tablescaping. Please feel free to join me as I enter my journey and share my passion for decorating with all my lovely little "treasures".

I decorate my home with vintage, thrift store, yard sale and hand me down items. I shop ebay with a vengance for dinnerware and glassware, the postal service must adore me!

I am very casual, but a bit fussy when it comes down to details. I have spent two thirds of my life in the south, but the southerners say my "nothern side" still comes out! I am guessing this is not such a good thing....and visa versa when I am around my northern relatives, "give me a break"!

Join me any way.......I hope we can be blogging buddies no matter where we all live :)

This is my friend Jennifer's table.  I snapped some pictures when I was visiting one night.

Unlike me, she is very serious when it comes to her tablescapes.  She researches, thinks things over, contemplates and then thinks some more.  Me?  I am more spontaneous.  I see something I like, I grab!!   If I don't buy something I like, I have get a terrible case of  "I shouldas".  This happens a lot more when an item I pass up was just a couple of dollars, like the seahorse bowls and cups in a previous post.  (they came in white, but I turned them down and now I cannot find any more!)

Jennifer is more into "substantial" pieces (there's that word again).  She loves muted colors, texture and nature.  Can you tell? Her home has just a "few" birds sprinkled here and there.  Muted greens (green being her favorite color) weathered patinas and a very warm and inviting look.  I will have to take you on a tour some day......it looks as though she has lived there forever and all her pieces have been collected ever the generations.  Some have and other pieces are brand new and yet she has the eye to make them blend to make everything look cohesive.

She is my new shopping buddy.  Her son and my daughter are sweethearts.  If you look back at some of the posts you will see them or remember them and their Valentine dinner and their prom.  We have A LOT in common! The kids, our love of God, our desire to make our houses pretty, we really aren't that fond of cooking (but we have the need to serve what we make on pretty plates!) And to top it off we have the worlds best hubbies!! (Steve? if you are reading this? I will deny that I said that!)
