Dry run of my daughter's Valentine's Day dinner she is having to suprise her boyfriend. We got out of of our fabulous little dainty dishes and put together this tablescape. She wants him to be romantic and sit through a little dinner she has planned. Now, he is an 18 year old "boy" going into the Marines. let's see how this whole thing flies when the big day comes. Will he be pleased or will he think he has been brought into a torture chamber?
She will go through a lot of trouble for him. She plans on making a green bean casserole, lemon chicken and a little fruit cup. For dessert a little dreamy cupcake they can both share, that's what the cupcake pedestal plate is for, dreamy huh?
I plan on posting more pictures of course, but for now let's just say she has her work cut out for her. She has a very tiny budget and big hopes. I have told her I WILL NOT help her out financially as this is her gift, I will however show her how to set the table etc.
She is very excited, after all her first gift was just a photo! She waited to long to collect her money so it was to late to place an order in time for it to reach her. This is way cooler I think, but then I am a romantic. I don't know what an 18 year old "marine to be" will think!
She wants to add some pink M&Ms to the heart shaped bowls, her fruit salad will go in the small goblets. Maybe some pink cherry soda in the tall glasses?
