Thanks for stopping by!!

I have found so much inspiration that I have started sharing my own addiction of tablescaping. Please feel free to join me as I enter my journey and share my passion for decorating with all my lovely little "treasures".

I decorate my home with vintage, thrift store, yard sale and hand me down items. I shop ebay with a vengance for dinnerware and glassware, the postal service must adore me!

I am very casual, but a bit fussy when it comes down to details. I have spent two thirds of my life in the south, but the southerners say my "nothern side" still comes out! I am guessing this is not such a good thing....and visa versa when I am around my northern relatives, "give me a break"!

Join me any way.......I hope we can be blogging buddies no matter where we all live :)

Anika's Table

"Mom, you know if we had a table in the living room......maybe we would all eat dinner in their together!"  I have heard this from day one I guess, her longing to eat dinner together as a family.  I adore that she wants us to be all together for meals, I really do.......but it's just not practical!

The times we are together NEVER seems to match up.  She wants a sit down dinner "southern style"  Taters, bread, mac and cheese and of course meat at every meal.  This is not a heart healthy diet for me and hubby.  We are grazers as the doctors call it and it is the way we eat to stay healthy......especially my hubby with heart disease and 5 stents in his heart.

But since I think it is a wonderful idea and I love her soooooo much, Here is your table Anika!!
We will try to meet here on the weekends as much as possible ok?  We will have our Saturday pizza here!!
And we did christen it the other night with Kailey........Chicken noodle soup and toast at 10:00 just so we could say we did (and cuz Kailey wanted to use the fancy glasses ;) giggle)

I am kinda glad it's here now....thanks for talking me into it!  How often will we will use it?(besides tablescaping that is) We don't know yet, but if we use it and it makes you happy, it's worth what we paid for it.

Now, go sit down and eat your lunch at your table Anika Hope.....and don't forget to put your napkin on your lap!

Love, Mom

In case you love the pink plates as much as I do........here is the link to the whole line of yummy delicious Terramoto

  1. That is so sweet!!! I completely understand why you and your husband cannot commit to regular "sit down dinners", but I think it is just darling that your daughter has that dream! I hope your family has a chance to enjoy the setting for a long time to come, even if you and Dad are just sipping water! Have a wonderful weekend!

  5. Love your daughter's table setting. Pink, white and green one of my all time favorite table combos. If you have a minute stop by and see our garden table setting. A pink tea pot with mug and of course flowers!

  6. Hi Wendy,
I saw this post on your sidebar and had to view it! I do love those pink plates! I'm starting to become more and more interested in tablescaping...funny how I never considered it as a "hobby" before! Maybe because I live alone and don't usually eat at the table?? Who cares, right? Set my table anyway!! lol
