Thanks for stopping by!!

I have found so much inspiration that I have started sharing my own addiction of tablescaping. Please feel free to join me as I enter my journey and share my passion for decorating with all my lovely little "treasures".

I decorate my home with vintage, thrift store, yard sale and hand me down items. I shop ebay with a vengance for dinnerware and glassware, the postal service must adore me!

I am very casual, but a bit fussy when it comes down to details. I have spent two thirds of my life in the south, but the southerners say my "nothern side" still comes out! I am guessing this is not such a good thing....and visa versa when I am around my northern relatives, "give me a break"!

Join me any way.......I hope we can be blogging buddies no matter where we all live :)

Kailey is 8!

Summer is ALL the kids in the neighborhood playing outside....riding bikes, playing in the pool, slipping and sliding.  Neighborhood parties, grilling, meeting up in the back yards after a very long winter.  It's all the kids at my house then all the kids at their house and it's birthday parties!

It was a birthday celebration for my little friend Kailey.  She turned 8, so we had to make the day extra special~~she is a princess after all!

The colors were apple green and fuschia~you wanna talk about some tough colors to match up?
You will see no balloons here, no steamers, but our sweet Kailey didn't seem to miss them at all!
That's my antique wicker chair out of my living room...yep, Kailey is special~~I wouldn't do that for just anybody! (she knows it too)

The other table was green instead of pink (meaning the runner and the flowers.)

I helped for a little while with the food and then I quietly exxited so the hostess could take over.  She made the coolest punch~ it was the same apple green color as the napkins and table runners!
I LOVE my white tent!!
An ebay purchase a few months back for about $100.  It has come in handy for so many things.  You can take the walls off or keep them on. 10x20 is a pretty good size two. It will need to be repaired in a few places, but for $100 it was a great deal!
This is called a "Nanny Cake"
Kailey's Nanny makes them and has a business here in our town~~~I don't mind telling you that they are pretty YUMMY!~
Nanny made this one custom just for this day to match what Kailey's mom Brandy picked out for the party....um I think she did pretty darn good don't you? Yay to "Nanny Cakes"!!

It was raining the whole time we set up in fact it rained until the party get started!  The sun never really came out which was awesome because it never got HOT!  Brandy planned the party for evening so the kids wouldn't be hot and in the end the temperature was perfect! In fact the whole party was perfect.  The kids even went swimming after they ate and nobody got sunburned!

Happy Birthday Kailey!
Meet me at the blog party

  5. Wendy, I think the Tablescaper is asking if you were able to post the URL of THIS particular post to her "Seasonal Sunday" party. I just went over to her site & YES, your link is showing.

This whole party is just delicious...in colors (love that punch!) & goodies! That cake is awesome with the darling legs stand.
Jobs well done & Happy Birthday to little Kailey!

    fondly,
