Thanks for stopping by!!

I have found so much inspiration that I have started sharing my own addiction of tablescaping. Please feel free to join me as I enter my journey and share my passion for decorating with all my lovely little "treasures".

I decorate my home with vintage, thrift store, yard sale and hand me down items. I shop ebay with a vengance for dinnerware and glassware, the postal service must adore me!

I am very casual, but a bit fussy when it comes down to details. I have spent two thirds of my life in the south, but the southerners say my "nothern side" still comes out! I am guessing this is not such a good thing....and visa versa when I am around my northern relatives, "give me a break"!

Join me any way.......I hope we can be blogging buddies no matter where we all live :)

A Change is coming!

Well here I go again!

I decided I love this new chocolate brown color scheme, so the whole kitchen is getting a little make over:*:~

We started with this adorable baby bunny.  He was yellow, for Eater I suppose, but doesn't it look like you could nibble on his ear?  This color of paint is as close to Dove brown I could find, it make my mouth drool just as bad too!;*~

I actually had the candle holders, but dolled them up with ribbon and some curling ribbon, marabou feathers.  These will never be lit of course, I know this stuff is highly flammable.  A cheap wooden frame, a picture cut from a dollar store gift bag that I fell in love with :*~TaDa~*: I adore it!

Tablescaping has always been a great passion of mine.  I could work on one table all afternoon, getting it just right could take hours.  When I am done, it's like I have created a painting that I can sit back and look at.

I got the best compliment the other night from a fourteen year old girl who came to visit.  "Your house looks like a castle." I giggle, but it's sweet to know that all my playing makes her think it is regal and princess like.

Couldn't find what I wanted...so I made my own

The Valentine's Day Dinner

Ok, I helped a little!  Maybe she paid for seventy five percent and I kicked in the rest? Maybe it was fifty fifty?  Well sue me okay? So what....what's the big deal?  Giggle. :)

It was an awesome night for the two little love birds.  We had the boy fooled that he was coming to the house for some dreadful reason.  He walked in to find his girl in a beautiful dress in a room full of pink and white lights with a romantic candle lit dinner.  He was breathless and LOVED IT!!

So this is how it all looked and we were both pooped when it was all over.  It was fun, but I am not ready to do it all again any time soon.

There was enough food in that room for 4 or 5 people and they did a darn good job of eating it.  There wasn't anything broken, nothing caught on fire!

They finished up with some dancing and I am sure a little smooching UGH! Being the great kids they are, they even helped clean up! (this was just so they could even spend more time together I am sure)
